Douala airport taxi: book ahead, price shown upfront

Douala International Airport (codes DLA and FKKD) handles the city’s international and domestic flights. Whether you are flying out or meeting someone, the trip needs planning: luggage, flight times and traffic that is hard to predict.

Getting to the airport without rushing

Choose “Schedule”, then the date and time: the price appears and you confirm. A driver is assigned beforehand and you are promised an arrival time. If they are later than the margin, you automatically get a credit, and you can cancel for free during the delay.

Having someone met on arrival

Book an airport pickup with the flight number: the driver waits in arrivals with a sign bearing the traveller’s name. If the plane is late, you move the time without changing the price.

How much does the trip cost?

With Kamergo, the price depends on the pickup or drop-off address and the service you choose. It is shown before you confirm, and a late flight does not change it.

For a regular taxi, a private drop (“dépôt”) is capped at 3,000 FCFA by day and 3,500 FCFA at night by the order of 26 February 2024. Agree on the price before getting in.

The official airport taxis (Taxi Go)

Aéroports du Cameroun (ADC) and ALO Technologies have announced Taxi Go, an official taxi service at Douala and Yaoundé Nsimalen airports, due to roll out from November 2026: GPS-tracked vehicles, 49 drivers selected in Douala. Standard rides from Douala airport are expected to start at 10,000 FCFA, depending on the destination.

Kamergo is not linked to this service.

Share the trip live with someone waiting for you.
If you pay cash, have change ready; otherwise pay by Mobile Money when you book.

Can I already book Kamergo to Douala airport?

Not yet: the app is not open in Douala. Join the waitlist to be told.

Will the driver wait if my flight is late?

For an airport pickup booked with the flight number, you move the arrival time in the app and the price stays the same. Some free waiting time is included at the airport.

Can I book for a relative who is arriving?

Yes, even from abroad: you book for them, the driver waits with a sign bearing their name, and you follow the trip to the end.

With suitcases, motorbike or car?

A car: it takes up to 4 passengers with their suitcases. A motorbike suits short trips with little luggage.
